The Gemini Healer’s Mission:

To inspire and empower community connections and philanthropic initiatives, the Gemini Healer offers complimentary Reiki services and training to all while fundraising through artistic products and charitable events. Outreach Programs will focus on comprehensively supporting communities by county and then state, collaborating with local non-profits and first responders. We will invest in community initiatives focused on improving the quality of life in every community we can reach, starting with Rowan County of North Carolina. We are a non-denominational, egalitarian organization seeking to sustain and enrich humanity as a whole from the ground up.

2025 Goals:

  1. Save up the capital to officially incorporate the Gemini Healer as a non-profit.
  2. Establish two Reiki-Guided Meditation Circles per month in the library.
  3. Establish monthly visits to at least 5 local communities: Hospice, Hospital Cancer Institute, Rowan Helping Ministries, and two more.
  4. Establish consistent branding and marketing strategies.

To Be a Gemini

Whether you give credence to astrology or not, almost everything you’ve read in the cheap horoscopes about a Gemini is relatively accurate about me.

If you did a basic Google search of Gemini personality traits, you would find the following: curious, social, versatile, independent, adventurous, flirty, quick-witted.

Anyone who has met me or known me for any length of time would agree that I would select ‘All of the above.’

I am notoriously stubborn, yet ridiculously lenient. On certain principles, I am unyielding. In social situations, I lean toward observance and flitting between every group of people without resting in any one place for long.

There are times I want to be the butterfly, visiting all of the flowers and gardens to collect all of the connections and experiences.

At another time, I could be the caterpillar, stepping with the flow around me and waiting for a direction to settle into.

Even still, I could wrap myself in a cocoon so tight that no one could reach me because I have serious self-reflection and spiritual work to do.

Risking to Grow

Some would describe me as reckless.

I would call it youthful naivete coupled with a voracious thirst for knowledge and experience. I don’t regret a single adventure, even if some of them landed me in incredibly difficult and soul-crushing experiences.

I fall, crash, and willingly leap off of the cliff into the unforgiving sea. It hurts. It burns. It’s terrifying, and suffocating, AND liberating.

Every chance taken begets the opportunity to add more feathers to the wings that will fly me toward the horizon I dream of. I always calculate the risk and opportunity costs. Am I always aware of every variable to calculate for? I wish.

But, no experience is worth absolutely nothing. For me, experiencing nothing would be agony.

For the most part, my truest vice would be what people would call ‘innocence.’

In other words, an idealist.

I trust your word until proven guilty. Deadpan goes over my head. I’m easy prey for trolls and when I was younger, I believed that if I wished for it, my dreams would come true, as long as I worked really hard.

I didn’t need capital, or connections. Ha! I had heart! Even worse, I had to learn the reality of that one more than once. I still have to remind myself to not launch or research every idea I have RIGHT THIS SECOND. Instead, I researched and scoured methods for managing myself and my time, leaning toward the pomodoro timer and a hybrid system between computer and paper.

Even after all of it, I’m still an idealist. Realism has seeped in, of course, but despite it all: I believe. I hope. I dream. I’m a ‘child at heart,’ as they say, yet…I wouldn’t trade these aspects of myself for anything.

I am on a continuous journey to understand myself, accept both the light and shadow aspects of what has allowed me to grow into the person that I am, and continue to grow closer to my highest self.

Understanding weakness allows adaptation.

Understanding strength allows specialization.

Understanding myself to embrace and express my truth is freedom.

Love and Light,

Diane, the Gemini Healer
