About The Blog
The Blog Mission
This blog and any social media managed by the Gemini Healer are nondenominational, independent, and egalitarian in nature with an emphasis on the healing, growth, and accountability of the self. Prejudice or shaming of any human beings–regardless of which labels or groups they identify with–will not be encouraged or tolerated, even if it is in advocacy of another group. The perspective of this blog is to focus on the mirror. If someone feels inclined to insult or shame someone else, I believe their time would be better spent taking another look in their own mirror.
The content provided will be the personal perspective of Diane in relation to society, humanity, and the environment with the intention of fostering constructive growth through the lens of self-actualization, self-discipline, and cooperation. Its purpose is to encourage healthy conversations through education, critical thinking, and innovation. Whether you are looking for some insight for your own journey, or some entertainment to relax, I’m sure you can find some juicy content here!
Sit back, breathe, and settle in.

Reiki Revelations: My Path to Change Pt 3
Previous: Part 2 One of the hardest questions I’ve ever encountered: who am I? There are a lot of people who claim that they know the answer to this question, and some of them pressure others to answer the question far too soon, far too precisely. To me, the most...
Reiki Revelations: My Path to Change Pt 2
Previous: Reiki Revelations: My Path to Change Pt 1 Nothing about life is easy. It never has been , and it never will be. Even children, whatever ease they could benefit from, is gained through what the previous generations do or do not carry on their own shoulders....
Reiki Revelations: My Path to Change Pt 1
How did Reiki change my life? In every imaginable way. In my early 20’s, there was a store that I found and started visiting frequently. I’m not sure if it’s still running, but it was my first exposure to crystals and Reiki. When I saw ‘Reiki Level 1’ on their...

Monday’s Reflection: Longer Road
I've been actively writing and investing into this business for a little over a month now. After posting on Patreon about my One Month Milestones and having a meeting with my website designers, I've altered my schedule. My goal is still to write 1000 words every day,...
Saturday’s Gratitude: My Mama
I was an antagonistic child. I enjoyed mischievous rebellion that was overall harmless, yet right on the nerve. The primary target of most of my mischief was my biggest cheerleader: my mama, Aqua. I tended to stay within the lines. My favorite example is when I was 4...
The Sands of Time, a Musing
The Rat Race Anymore, each day feels like a race against time. Even when all is going well, speed bumps can slow down the process. The machinations of life turn, merciless and never waiting for anyone to catch up. When we wait for time, it slows. When we try to hold...
14 Suicide Prevention Resources
Today, I'm grateful that there are so many specialized services available for those who need them. In the U.S., dial 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. If it is an emergency, call 911. These resources provide support, education, and crisis...
Saturday’s Gratitude: Grandma Joy
Today’s gratitude post was originally going to be about my son, Jace, before I branched into my other family. However, when I called my Grandma Joy this morning, I had to make it about her. I’ve been calling my grandparents once a week for over a year now (it was...
Balancing Obstacles and Opportunities
As I walked yesterday, I thought about balancing the horizon--searching far and planning ahead--against the ground, riddled with obstacles to navigate. Wouldn't it seem smarter to clear the path of obstacles before reaching farther ahead? Yet, many times, enthusiasm...
To Weather the Set-backs
Not every day starts how I expect it to, and I think it’s important to share how I personally handled some difficult days over the last month, including today. Foremost, plans change and adapt to accommodate new variables. For example, integrating plug-ins on a...
Dreaming on My Birthday
As I cuddled my 6-month-old, my partner asked me what I wanted for my birthday. We decided to not go out of town to save money, and I thought about what I really wished for more than anything else. In summary, I asked to film our forest shots for Healing Hearth, the...
To Express the Soul
Why did I start this blog? Short answer: to survive, to thrive, and to express my soul. The long answer: no one has that much time to read about a stranger–especially one who, overall, has little influence on the world beyond her words. All of our words have...

Growing as a Writer
Before I started this blog, I did a fair amount of research on how I was going to approach it. I mainly relied on the YouTube channel Perfecting Blogging with Sophia Lee as she has had a significant amount of success, and gives clear points on what to do. One of them...
Gemini Healer’s WIP June 2025
Let’s talk about my current projects, or ‘WIP.’ First of all, I had to look up what ‘WIP’ means because I’ve never been skilled with colloquial language or jargon. It’s been at least a decade since I’ve been in the writing community itself, and I’ve only begun dipping...

Are All Writers Autodidacts?
I doubt it matters which genre a writer chooses, all of them have to be prepared to be an autodidact of some sort--degree, or not. Every book requires research. I'm not a scientist and never will be. However, that doesn't mean I can't read a biology textbook, or...
Ancient Gemini: Mirror of the Divine Twins
Almost everyone is familiar with Gemini as one of the 12 zodiacs throughout the year, and most of them are familiar with the trademark traits listed in the horoscopes. Whether you believe in horoscopes or not, the mythological significance of the ‘Divine...
Reflecting on My Writing Journey
I’ve loved reading, writing and the fantasy genre since I was a child. Before turning 7, I hand-wrote (no computer then) and drew several comics of myself as a Pokemon trainer with my mama, Aqua, as my first fan. I frequently visited the elementary school library,...
